Hanukkah
The holiday of Hanukah symbolizes the victory of Jews over the Greco-Syrian kingdom. During his reign over Israel, restrictions and prohibitions were imposed on Jews. In particular, it was forbidden to study and even read the Torah and much more, which violated the basic principles of Jewish life. Matityagu Hasmonei rebelled, and the enslavers were defeated. And in honour of our victory, the sages established to celebrate eight days of Hanukkah.
